Efficiency, stability
and transparency.
Up to 30% of laparoscopic procedural time is wasted on inefficient instrument exchanges.
Instrument exchanges are a major source of flow disruption and flow disruption significantly increases surgical errors. Surgirack uniquely arranges instruments in an ergonomic method. This greatly reduces time spent retrieving instruments. By reducing instrument exchange time, overall procedural time and surgeon frustration are reduced allowing for better surgical outcomes.
In addition to reducing procedural times, surgical instruments are protected and damage is reduced. Dislodgement of the Surgirack is prevented by 2-point conformed fixation.
No more replacing expensive energy devices that fall to the floor. The Surgirack is designed to the correct length preventing damage to fragile energy device tips which is another reason for replacement of an expensive energy device during a procedure.
Scrub nurse and assistant are freed up to focus on critical tasks like suctioning, camera control, assisting with suturing etc instead of being a full-time passer.
Surgirack is available for both general surgery and bariatric length instruments.

Australia produces an estimated 42,000 tonnes of medical waste each year.
Australia lags behind other parts of the world when it comes to sustainable medical waste processing. The methods used currently to dispose of instrument holders in Australian hospitals have significant environmental consequences, including greenhouse gas emissions from incineration, pollution from landfills, and the risk of contaminating water and soil.
Surgirack is different. It is made up of a reusable/autoclavable upper module and a sterilised recyclable lower section. We employ environmentally friendly sterilisation methods and we believe improving sustainability in healthcare without compromising infection control is a top priority.
